We are a private and independent small animal veterinary practice based in Humberston, Grimsby. It is predicted that within the next 5 years, 80% of all veterinary practices will be owned by corporate companies.

If an emergency occurs during normal working hours, please telephone the clinic and then you will be advised by our experienced team when your pet can be seen in clinic.

We will attend to your pet as soon as we possibly can and this is the best place for us to investigate, treat and monitor your pet effectively.

We offer Out of hours emergency cover WITHIN the practice by our 3 experienced vets and nursing team.

We can therefore guarantee that our clients and their pets see the same clinical professionals both in and out of hours.

We offer a wide range of routine and advanced operations in our 2 state of the art theatres performed by our IN HOUSE Advanced vet practitioner which reduces the needs for referrals. for example:-

  • Neutering and lump removal
  • Advanced soft tissue surgery
  • Knee cap luxation corrections
  • Cruciate surgery
  • Bone fracture repairs
  • Vaccinations
  • Surgical Referrals

A fully qualified and registered veterinary nurse monitors your pet’s anaesthetic with the aid of high tech monitoring equipment.

Our in-house laboratory allows us to run many common blood tests, and microscopic evaluation of lumps, bumps, skin scraps and fluids rapidly. This ensures we can diagnose and tailor your pet’s treatment without delay. For those tests we cannot perform in-house, we use a private overnight courier service which ensures the samples are delivered on time for next day results.

An often forgotten but critical aspect of our pets’ health is dentistry. Dental disease can be the cause of problems in other major organs as a result of bacterial infection from the mouth.

Dental disease is painful and pets left untreated could be suffering.

We offer:

  • Advice on oral hygiene – which could help prevent the need for extraction
  • Dental Scale and polishing and where needed dental extractions– which requires anaesthetic and monitoring by our experienced team

Our highly qualified nurses run clinics on a wide range of subjects.

  • Post-operative checks to give you that expert opinion on healing progression
  • Microchipping
  • Nail clippings
  • Dental checks
  • Weight checks
  • Anal gland issues
  • Puppy Classes

Our procedure is safer for your pet because we have a high powered x-ray machine with digital processing, which enables us to produce high quality images quickly, reducing the length and depth of anaesthesia required.

Wolds veterinary clinic offers high quality ultrasound, providing excellent imagery aiding diagnosis of problems in the abdomen and heart including tumours, liver and kidney disease, bladder and prostate issues, Mitral valve heart disease, and other structural heart abnormalities.

We have disabled access and ample free parking and we are accessible 24 hours every day.
